Marque Henderson is an American author born on July 23, 1978, in Sacramento, California. He penned the book “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.” His life is an inspiring story of Struggles, Persistence and Triumph. Marque was raised in Decatur/Courtland, Alabama by his parents – the late Glory and Robert Lee Henderson. Today, he is a man of God, a father, and a husband to the beautiful Jacqueline Henderson. The two are currently at the St. Bartley Missionary in Huntsville, AL, where his wife who has been his backbone and very supportive in his walk and journey of becoming the man he is today, is also a member. But before the grace of God and favor found him, he was at the lowest moment of his life. At a young age, Marque was introduced to gangs by his father. This move made it impossible for him to have a normal childhood. He began to engage in drug use, and public fights and grew up as a rough thug who played along with the “hoods.” Unfortunately, his constant misbehavior led him to be imprisoned 35 times in total, and he was escorted to prison at least twice a week. But fate had a different plan for Marque. One of his many fights sent him into a coma for four months. When he eventually recovered, he was charged with a murder that had caused him to go into a coma in the first place. He was sentenced to years in prison. It was at this point that Marque decided to change his ways. Having been shot several times and surviving, he felt that he had a second chance at life.
Additionally, the passing of his mother, whom he had a great relationship with, was a wake-up call. He felt the need to amend his ways and change for the better.
Today, Marque is a new person. He has left his old ways behind and has become a man of God, a father, and a husband. His newfound love for Christ has inspired him to teach others, especially young kids, how to live a fruitful life and not make the same mistakes he did. Marque has written a book entitled “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly,” which talks about everything he has been through in life. This book is his first ever published book, and it is a testament to his transformation. Inside, readers can learn from his experiences and possibly avoid falling into gangs and wasting their lives. Marque’s goal is to save the next person from going through what he went through. He plans to speak to the youth in local schools and teach them lifelong strategies, goals, and how to make good life choices.
