TOY STORY TEMPEST
Free Shakespeare in the Park
Adapted and Directed by Will Thomas McFadden
For the past 12 years, Woody (Prospero) and Jessie (Miranda) have been stranded on a magical deserted island. After a great tempest, Buzz, Hamm, Rex, Slinky, Bo Peep and the rest of the gang are summoned to the island by Woody with the hope of being reunited with their beloved owner Andy. On their journey to find their way home, they make new friends and learn valuable lessons about love, loyalty and forgiveness.
TOY STORY TEMPEST, adapted and directed by Will Thomas McFadden, is our 13th free adaptation of Shakespeare, playing every weekend in August for families, in Media Park, in front of The Actors’ Gang Theater, at The Ivy Substation.
Bring blankets or lawn chairs and coolers and snacks, along with the whole family for a morning of outdoor theatrical delight, certainly one of the best things to do in Los Angeles this summer. Each performance is followed by a treat celebration where you can meet and take selfies with the characters!
Our summer show is supported in part by the City of Culver City, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Performing Arts Grant Program, with support from Sony Pictures Entertainment.
