Fashion month may feel like years ago, but the beauty looks from this past season are anything but passé. This fall it’s all about experimentation! Do you feel like getting moody with a purple lip? Then let the Rodarte vampire brides inspire you. And if the whole walking dead thing isn’t your vibe, may we suggest some futuristic tiger eyes (they pair perfectly with a face mask!) and a few so-bright-you-need-shades shadows?

Ahead, the top beauty trends from the Fall 2020 NYFW runways that will inspire you to create the perfect autumn beauty look in your own bathroom. Tattoo eye hearts, anyone?

Rodarte’s Vampire Bride

The mood was vampire brides for Rodarte Fall 2020. Makeup artist James Kaliardos used all NARS products (and Lashify on the lashes!) to create this Winona Ryder-inspired Dracula beat. Kaliardos exaggerated the models’ cupid bows with a NARS Precision Lip Liner and filled the lips with the matte lip pencil in Train Bleu Velvet. ‘Til death do us part.

The Marc Jacobs Red Lip

Muva Pat McGrath was behind the final beauty look of NYFW. For the showstopping finale, McGrath created over 100 makeup looks on a large number of models and dancers. McGrath wanted to go classic with black winged lids and a pop of red on the lips. The beauty pro used Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Cream in Blacquer and the brand’s lipstick in Oh Miley. “It’s a modern take on beauty and exploration of individuality,” explains McGrath. “There is an individual look for each model – from a light smoky eye to black winged liner and red lips, and to fresh and dewy, no-makeup looks.”

Christopher John Rogers’ World

Makeup artist Marcelo Gutierrez‘s vision for the show was “the modern Christopher John Rogers woman who steps into a chic and elegant party.” Think bold neon lips and Euphoria-inspired bedazzled brows. From the colorful clothes and the asymmetrical full hair to the pops of color and shine on the lips and eyes, the entire show was one seamless event full of life.

Tadashi Shoji’s Blue Period

Daniel Martin, the lead makeup artist at Tadashi Shoji, is having his artistic blue moment. “From the runway, you see the shape,” explained Martin. “But up close, you see the intricacy of the brush. It’s almost like a Jackson Pollock [painting].” The bold blue eye was paired with fresh skin, golden highlight, and defined brows. Daniel used Honest Beauty’s new LIT Powder Blush in Frisky and the brand’s Everything Cream Foundation to add warmth and dimension.

Christian Siriano Goes E-Girl

Celebrity makeup artist Erin Parsons‘ focus was on the eyes and lips for the Siriano runway show. “I used Maybelline Matte Ink in Creator and Romantic, mixed, and then saturated with shine,” explains Parsons. “And the easiest way to achieve a perfect heart beauty mark —use a stencil! I filled it in jet black with Maybelline Hyper Easy Liquid Line.”
