The holiday season has been kicked off with spirits, music, fun and charity. November 9, 2018’s Making Spirits Bright was a night to remember. As guests walked into the venue, they were greeted with smiles and rows and rows of Colorado distilleries anxious to pour samples. Over 20 distilleries came out to light up the night for a good cause.
Patrons from all over Colorado experienced craft whiskies, vodkas, gins and more, while discovering their new favorite bottles. Distilleries sent their experts to educate guests on the beauty of well-made and unique spirits, including Idlewild Spirit’s limited edition hibiscus infused red/pink gin. EXDO Event Center was filled with dancing, great conversations and no strangers. Among the room of distillers, there were several other types of vendors helping guests to start the gift giving season right. They included products such as designer nail polish strips, essential oils, retro clothing and a shoemaker. One vendor, Wear Love Clothing, sold clothing and jewelry that are “handcrafted by talented worldwide artisans combating poverty and social injustice”to add to the giving energy.
The tastings were from 5-9pm and then a high-energy after-party ensued until 1am as the DJ continued playing a colorful mix of holiday, pop, and classic hits. The impactful night was put on by the event planners with heart, Party B Cause. Ticket proceeds from Making Spirits Bright went to Montessori School of Evergreen. A great opportunity to drink and be merry for the kids.
