Washington was a breakout star in Spike Lee’s 2018 film BlacKkKlansman, for which he received critical and commercial acclaim. He is further stepping out from his father, Denzel Washington’s, shadow in 2020 by starring in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. Kaitlyn Dever is also expected to build on her success in 2020. Though she had already appeared on Last Man Standing, Dever’s breakout role in 2019 was as Amy in Booksmart.
It could be a breakout year for Dixie Egerickx, who will be starring alongside Colin Firth and Julie Walters in the 2020 adaptation of The Secret Garden.
