OTR: It’s been six years since you were featured in “On the Rise Magazine“. How are you doing?
Mr. Stinky: I’m doing good yea feeling great its a strange time to be alive!
OTR: Tell us about your latest project and what you have been up to musically?
Mr. Stinky: OK well Let’s just take it back a year I’ve been releasing singles Some reggae & R&B mixed some hip-hop some hip-hop & reggae some just pure dancehall reggae Also me and MABkc released a full album called keep countin available on all digital Platforms in the genre’s a of rap. So my latest released project was released on April the 4th it’s called bi lingual where it Shows off the reggae and the rap all on the same track.
OTR: How did you get the stage name, “Mister Stinky”.
Mr. Stinky: They call me Mr. Stinky because I’m the shit
OTR: How do you feel about today’s rap music?
Mr. Stinky: I don’t feel no way. I just believe that hip hop is for ever changing and Reinventing itself. The young and the old will never be raised the same so the music will never sound the same. I think it’s actually cool And that’s what keep hip hop alive and elevating.
OTR: What has moving from Kansas City to Las Vegas done for your career? Has it been a positive experience for you?
Mr. Stinky: Well I’ve been able to get my own strain of marijuana. I’ve been able to get my own rolling papers. I’ve been able to get into bigger festivals and they have been marijuana festivals which is perfect for artist like me that has a style like me breaking into the marijuana industry
OTR: What has been the toughest moments during your music career and how have you been able to stay in the game?
Mr. Stinky: I think the tough is thing is that a lot of my fans don’t realize is the 1st Album I came out with years and years ago was called “Armed Criminal Action” and Seven people on the CD is dead. I think coming up with my own money to fund the projects at times was the hardest. Let me just say this: if you don’t have dedication determination motivation this is not the business for you.
OTR: How do you manage to keep your music career without falling off track?
Mr. Stinky: It’s in my heart it’s in my soul, it’s a part of me I love it even if I was not getting paid
OTR: What has been your greatest accomplishments as an artist?
Mr. Stinky: That’s a pretty hard question So I’ll blaze through it real fast. Doing a song with the late nipsey hussle, Mac Dre’, TechN9ne, being on tour with badboys and def jam, appearing in the hip hop weekly magazine in 2015, Doing so many features seeing money that I couldn’t believe. All the love from fans all the free things you get from being a artist.

Mr. Stinky: It’s where you can get my personal products like my Mrstinky’s ganja gear, etc.Also our CBD Products 80% of my catalog of music that you can buy directly from me, and a cool new Herb that is on the rise called kava.
OTR: What’s next for you as an artist?
Mr. Stinky: Finally after all these years I am starting to get calls for major labels so this is pretty exciting. We have improved the beats, we have improved the quality of the music, and the quality of our lifestyle. Later in the summer, I will start to do parts in movies. After the Covid 19 will be building a studio home here in Las Vegas, Nevada.
OTR: Since you have collaborated with other artists, do you also write and produce for them? If not, would it be something that you would consider?
Mr. Stinky: No I can’t say I fully respect artist who don’t write there own music. And as far as making beats I would like to be a part of a producing team but I don’t never wanna be the one who touched the buttons. I just have great music ideals and can make strange noises with my mouth.
OTR: What are the take aways and advantages of being an independent artist?
Mr. Stinky: Nothing’s guaranteed but if it is guaranteed you get the real real money. More than what a label could ever give you. You have to work harder and you may not see your kids as much. Most likely it would take longer and challenge your emotions
OTR: What advice do you have for upcoming artists?
Mr. Stinky: If this isn’t a 100% what you want or you don’t believe in yourself get out the way this game; it is for true winners. And self esteem plays a big part. Never listen to negative advice.
OTR: Who are your favorite music artists (independent or famous) and why?
Mr. Stinky: Jay Z because of the clever flow, the money, the lifestyle, and the amazing record-breaking abilities. Tupac because he’s the king and I can relate to his lifestyle. Mavado from Jamaica because he’s just my kind of Jamaican gangster. Nipsey Hussle because look what he was trying to do for the youth.
OTR: What keeps you inspired in general?
Mr. Stinky: Just knowing that in my own mind I feel like I’m a voice for the people.
